Video Conferencing Guidelines:

IIRST embraces the flexibility of virtual participation, ensuring a seamless experience for both in-person and remote presenters. Below are the guidelines for virtual presenters:

Key Steps for Virtual Presenters:

  • Paper SubmissionFull papers or abstracts must be submitted and undergo a peer review process before being accepted for virtual presentation.
  • Technical CheckA technical test will be conducted before the event to verify the presenter’s connection, audio, and video quality.
  • Platform AccessDetails for accessing the virtual platform (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) will be provided before the conference.

On the Day of the Conference:

  • Joining the ConferenceVirtual presenters should log in at least 15 minutes before their session begins to check their equipment and ensure everything is working.
  • Presentation TimePresenters will have 12 minutes to present their work, with an additional 5 minutes for audience questions and discussion.
  • CertificationAfter the presentation, virtual presenters will receive an e-Certificate of Presentation and the conference proceedings in digital format.

Technical Requirements:

  • EquipmentA reliable laptop or desktop with a webcam and microphone is required for virtual presentations.
  • SoftwareEnsure your system is running the latest version of Zoom or other conference platforms as specified by IIRST.
  • EnvironmentChoose a quiet, well-lit space for your presentation. Ensure that your background is professional and free of distractions.
